It all started when…
Piper Ditzler grew up in both Texas and Colorado in a fun-loving, musical family with broad and diverse talents and experiences in the performing arts. Her family remembers Piper as an exceptionally active and sunny-tempered child whose whereabouts, from toddlerhood on, could always be determined - because wherever she was and whatever she was getting into, she was singing! And so it is to this day - all anyone has to do to find Piper is to follow the music!
A soprano with a nearly 3 octave range, Piper earned a Vocal Music Performance Bachelor of Arts Degree at Fort Lewis College. She has performed in a wide variety of venues and styles, from the lead role in the musical “Kiss me Kate”, to soloing with the San Juan Symphony in New Mexico and Colorado, to soloing in the Premier performance of ‘Desert Songs’ in Phoenix, Arizona, to singing with the Anchorage Symphony Orchestra, and the Anchorage Opera as a studio artist. Although classically trained, Piper has had a longtime love affair with jazz, and has been the featured jazz vocalist for the Bill Tull Swing Band and The Hot Club of Nunaka.
Piper is currently spending much of her time writing original music and building a large portofolio to pitch to Disney animated films. She is currently serving as the Worship Pastor at Northwest Church in Lynnwood Washington.
“In general, I’m a ridiculous optimist - to the point that it sometimes annoys my husband! ‘Don’t you EVER see the down side?’ he sometimes asks. Being an optimist helps me see the good in every situation. Seeing the glass half full - or more often close to spilling over the top, makes life way more fun!
